Reely Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026 · Reely
This Privacy Policy describes how Reely ("Reely," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Reely mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service helps you save, organize, and play short-form videos ("reels") from supported third-party platforms.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Reely is operated by the team behind the Reely app. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at privacy@reely.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Reel links and metadata you save. When you add a reel, we store the URL, platform, title, tags, thumbnail references, and playback information needed to display and play content in the app. This data is primarily stored locally on your device.
- Playlists and app preferences. Your playlists, layout preferences, onboarding status, theme settings, and similar in-app settings.
- Local usage data. Reely-only view counts and other usage counters stored on your device to improve your in-app experience.
- Imported media. If you import photos or videos from your device, those files are copied to the app's local storage on your device.
- Optional Facebook connection. If you choose to link a Facebook account, an access token may be stored locally on your device to retrieve your Facebook reels. We do not require a Reely account to use the app.
- Biometric lock settings. If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or similar device biometrics, authentication is handled by your device's operating system. We do not receive or store your biometric data.
- Subscription status. If you purchase Reely Premium, your app store provider (Apple or Google) processes payment. We receive subscription status information needed to unlock Premium features.
- Support communications. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide (such as your email address and message content).
3. Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create a Reely username or password for core app features.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your saved reels to train public AI models.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Save, organize, display, and play reels you choose to add;
- Extract playable video and thumbnail data from third-party links you submit;
- Enable optional features such as Facebook linking and Premium;
- Protect the app with optional biometric lock;
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Use;
- Comply with legal obligations.
5. Third-party platforms and services
Reely works with content and services from third parties, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Apple App Store, Google Play, and your device operating system. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and terms.
- When you save a reel, we process the link you provide. We are not affiliated with Meta, ByteDance, Google, or other platform owners.
- Playback and thumbnails may be retrieved from third-party servers when you open a saved reel.
- Payments for Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google, not directly by Reely.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any platform whose content you save or any service you connect.
6. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers. With vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting or analytics), subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law.
- With your direction. When you use share features or otherwise ask us to share information.
7. Data retention
Reel data and preferences stored on your device remain until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear app data. Subscription records are retained as needed to manage Premium access and comply with financial and legal requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device and any linked third-party accounts.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete information we hold about you;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can delete saved reels and playlists in the app, disable biometric lock, disconnect Facebook, and manage Premium subscriptions through your device's app store settings. Contact privacy@reely.app to submit a privacy request.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International users
If you use the Service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
